I was raised right here in Orleans County Vermont and lived my entire life between Jay and North Troy, and I love this region. My roots here go deep. My family has lived here for generations, and my great-grandfather and grandfather even built many of the homes in the Troy-Jay area.
Professionally, I work as a Crisis Clinician and Suicide Counselor where on a daily basis I deal with the reality of mental illness. I know all too well, the struggles and hardships that Vermonters face, and the depths that those hardships can cause.
I am highly active in my community. Engaging in community improvement projects and local organizations, I try to make a positive impact. Even now, I engage with my neighbors and local farmers and business to learn about the problems they face. I am in-touch with the realities for our communities
My family and I manage a small homestead/hobby farm where we raise goats, chickens, ducks, and bees. We bake our own bread and preserve much of what we grow or produce, and whatever remains we either sell or donate. From mending fences to weeding the strawberry patch, I understand the hard work mentality that defines Vermonters.
Even more than a candidate, and even more than a senator, I am a neighbor, and I am a friend. I walk door-to-door meeting voters because they deserve to actually meet the person making decisions on their behalf. I will answer your phone calls and respond to your emails because you deserve to be heard. I will personally bring your concerns and realities to Montpelier and ensure that they are respected.
I am a civil servant, not a politician; I serve the people, not myself and certainly not any particular agenda. I will be in Montpelier for one purpose and one purpose only, and that is to uphold your rights and interests.
